WE WILL ANNEX...
YOU WILL NOT LEAVE ALIVE

"Prime Minister Netanyahu said yesterday that if Yasser Arafat unilaterally declares a Palestinian state, Israel would annex territories in the West Bank. In response, Palestinian Authority Secretary-General Taib Abdel Rachim said that if Israeli troops enter areas under Palestinian control, they would not exit alive."

{KOL ISRAEL- 4/24}

MER - WASHINGTON - 4/25:
The big push will be on next month to trap Yasser Arafat and cronies in another "deal" that will only make things worse for the Palestinian people, but further line their pockets with more millions, more weapons, and more tools of repression including considerably more "surveillance" equipment.

The likelihood is that Arafat will cave in as he has done so many times before. They already have so much dirt on Arafat and friends which they could leak out and push the Palestinians closer to Civil War that in the end the Arafat folk are likely to acquiesce and take their chances on being on the Israeli-American team, however uncomfortably.

Should it come to that, and should Arafat attempt to declare his
scattered and surrounded "autonomous" enclaves a real State, the Israeli army won't have to re-enter very many places. Large areas under complete Israeli control, by far the majority of the "occupied terrories" could simply be annexed, with Israeli army roadblocks and checkpoints moved around abit. As for the Palestinian army seriously fighting the Israelis... other than for short-term political show now who are we kidding!
