MER - Robert Fisk, The Independent's long-time correspondent in the Middle East, is one of the most knowledgeable and committed Western journalists in the region.
Recently Fisk was recently extensively interviewed for 90 minutes on MID-EAST REALITIES TV -- for details email to INFOMERTV@MIDDLEEAST.ORG. This concluding quote is from an article by Fisk recently in The Nation Magazine, published in New York, 6/9/97:
"THE MIDDLE EAST IS BRACING ITSELF FOR WAR RATHER THAN PEACE. MAYBE CLINTON SHOULD REREAD THE LETTER KING HUSSEIN WROTE TO THE ISRAELI PRIME MINISTER, ESPECIALLY THAT BIT ABOUT THE 'ABYSS OF BLOODSHED AND DISASTER'."
