SHARON TO LEAD ISRAELIS TO DOHA!

     This is really bigger than just a normal old "Shame of the Week." This "Shame" is historic class.

     At the recent Arab summit in Cairo, the issue of the U.S./Israeli- sponsored "economic summit" to be held in Doha in November was not even "officially" on the agenda. But behind-the-scenes it was quite significant; and no other conclusion will suffice: The Arab regimes are such cowards and patsies!

     Greatly pressured by the Americans (Madeleine Albright of late), and with significant money being promised to Arab businessmen (Mubarak has even appointed his corrupt son to head up the Egyptian delegation!), the Arab regimes haven't got the guts (not to mention good sense), to simply say "No!"...or at the very least to tell the Americans the summit is on but the Israelis are disinvited.

     The Arab League has become laughable for its impotence and cowardice. To make matters even more ludicrous Esmat Abdel Meguid, Secretary- General, recently stated: "I think that there is a positive development on the side of the American government, despite... Israeli influence in the United States"!

     Since the Egyptian government is in bed with the Jewish/Israeli lobby in Washington -- even recently hiring one of its operatives to be Egypt's official lobbyist -- and since Egyptian officials have been taking bribes and pay-offs for years from Jewish and Israeli interests, one has to wonder if Meguid is on the take as well. Probably so; for such is the miserable state of Arab "diplomacy" these days.

     Meanwhile, adding insult to injury, none other than Ariel Sharon will be heading up Israel's delegation if Doha takes place. Sharon -- the war criminal of Sabra and Shatilla.      Sharon -- one of Israel's greatest thugs and Palestinian killers. Sharon -- the only senior Israeli official who commandered a house in the Muslim quarter of Old Jerusalem on top of which he prominently flies the Israeli flag and a Menorah for all to see (all guarded 24-hours daily by Israeli troops of course).

     Sharon -- the Minister in charge of building still more Israeli settlements to permanently disinfranchise and ghettoize the Palestinians. (c) MER
