[MER - All his life Yitzhak Rabin killed and dispossessed
Palestinians, his wife Leah at his side. During the war of 1948 Rabin was
responsible for terrorizing many Palestinians into leaving their villages
for exile -- they and their families remain in refugee camps throughout
the region and in the occupied territories to this day. When the Intifada
Began Rabin accepted the post of Defense Minister in the government headed
by Yitzhak Shamir, and became famous for his orders to "break the
bones" of the Palestinians. Asked if her opinion of Mr. Arafat, whom
she has likened to one of her family, changed after the recent Tel Aviv
bombing:
"A MAN WHO ON THE NIGHT THAT YITZHAK WAS MURDERED
CRIED BITTERLY -- CRIED BITTERLY -- AND IS PAINED BY HIS MURDER TO THIS
DAY, DO YOU THINK THAT I CAN JUST LIKE THAT CHANGE MY OPINION OF HIM?"
