A secret letter from inside Arafat's Gulag MER - Washington - 5/5: Amazing. Rather than telling his own people Arafat choose earlier this year to tell Bill Clinton in the White House whom he has chosen to lead the Palestinians after him; and now chooses to tell Henry Siegman that the Palestinians are giving up about the real Jerusalem! Now to the most recent evidence of terrible repression and torture. After the initial purposeful confusion, it now seems most likely that it was Arafat's own secret police who carried out the recent assassination of Hamas leader, Mohyeedine ash-Sharaf, the man at the top of Israel's most wanted list. Then, when caught by an unexpected pathology report the desperate "Palestinian Authority" first threw the blame Israel's way, then when severely pressured by the Israelis made up a story that Hamas had killed its own! [For detailed background information see the exclusive article by Professor Tanya Reinhart and other information published last month by MER]. What has followed -- coordinated ever more closely with the Shinbet and the CIA -- is another wave of severe repression, intimidation, deception, and torture from the Arafat "PA". The following secret letter was smuggled out of what has become the spreading Palestinian Gulag.
SECRET LETTER FROM THE PRISONER GHASSAN ADDASI (Translated from original Arabic)
Dear brother May Allah protect you, I told Sheikh Mahmoud Musleh of what has happened to me. Before MP Hatim Abdel Qadir came and visited, Jibril [Rajjoub] sat with me and made me believe they held my sister. He threatened they would do things to her if I told Hatim Abdel Qadir that I was the subject of torture. They told me to say that I confessed, on my own. This is what happened. By Allah, I did it only to protect my sister's chastity, purity and honor. I knew afterwards that I was tricked and that my sister was not incarcerated. Here I am today, I tell the Palestinian people, I am innocent. I tell my brethren in HAMAS that I did not deceive them. What I was subjected to was more than what I could endure. The prophet of Islam, peace be upon him, allowed `Ammar Ibn Yassir to curse him under torture. I do not have the faith of `Ammar Ibn Yassir. I call upon President Yassir `Arafat and ask him to grant me [the age-old Arab pact] of AMAN [safety]. I ask him to grant me the chance to tell the truth before the media. I want everyone to know, and first and foremost my brothers and family, that I am innocent of what they accuse me of. I was asleep at home when the blast occured. I write this letter to exonerate myself. They [the Preventive Police] are capable of forcing me to say that I did not write any letter. They have means and ways of torture, Iblees [Diablos] himself is uncapable of imagining. Last but not least, if this letter was the last vow I say in this world, I ask my family [Ahlee], the Palestinian people, and my brethren in HAMAS to forgive me all. Allah knows I am innocent and He is enough witness." |
