NEWS FLASH - 3/29 - 9:25am: SUSPECTED TERRORISM IN WASHINGTON, DC
Suspected terrorism came to the American capital this morning.
During the middle of Washington's difficult rush-hour one of the
main streets to downtown, Connecticut Avenue, was closed to traffic
for nearly one and a half hours.
Unconfirmed reports are that a suspicious package of some kind
was found on a nearby street leading to the Israeli, Egyptian,
and other Embassies and was blown up by police shortly after 9 am.
Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is in Washington today.
