ISRAELIS KILL AMBULANCE DRIVER
EQUIVALENT OF 85,000 AMERICANS WOUNDED IN 2 DAYS!
MID-EAST REALITIES - www.MiddleEast.Org - Washington - 9/30/00:
Two ambulance drivers were shot by Israeli forces at the Natzarim junction
in
the Gaza Strip on Saturday. They were attempting to transport
a critically
injured 14-year-old boy to a hospital in Gaza. Bassam al-Balbisi,
50, has died.
Fathi al-Louh remains in serious condition in Shifa hospital.
The number of Palestinians wounded by the Israelis in the past few days
is
approaching 1000. Taking population sizes into account, this
is as if an
occupation army had wounded about 85,000 defensely Americans in just
a few days.
The Israelis are using snipers to fire on unarmed Palestinians as a
tactic to
frighten Palestinians from gathering and from throwing stones and challenging
their presence. They also have a history of using various military
tactics,
including shooting at health care workers and ambulances in order to
further
intimidate the Palestinians and cause greater suffering.
