Saad Eddin Ibrahim was dragged to martyrdom after spending a career working within the system. His years working for the Hashemite Royal Court in Amman are conveniently overlooked these days by those who rightly condemn the way the Egyptian government tries to crush all who challenge and dissent, i.e., tell the truth about how terribly repressive the police state of Egyptian has become. But the case of Ibrahim is really but the tip of the proverbial iceberg. There are so many others, so many unknowns, still in the Egyptian Gulag; and unfortunatly Ibrahim and friends are not really doing what they shuold to bring their plight to the attention of the world.
