Yale University and Israel's Technical Institute plan to conduct joint homeland security and counter-insurgency research. Under the agreement, the two universities would convene leading researchers to explore strategic, tactical, and operational problems in security.
"The unique combination of our strong anti-terror research and the problem-solving and management-based approach for which the Yale School of Management is known holds great promise for a safer — and more integrated — world," Technion president Yitzhak Apeloig said.
The three-year partnership was financed by Daniel Rose, a Yale graduate and U.S. consultant. Organizers said the Technion and Yale would seek to develop tools for decision-making and policy analysis regarding homeland security and counter-insurgency.
